Read descriptionHESAPRO is an EU Lifelong Learning Programme (LdV Partnership Project) built on a simple observation: safer workplaces tend to be more productive workplaces, yet health and safety and productivity are usually managed as unrelated concerns. Coordinated by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of the Turkish Republic — Directorate General for Productivity, the project brings together five partner countries to produce research, self-assessment instruments and practical guides that help enterprises — SMEs in particular — act on that connection without needing external consultancy. Read the brief description for the full rationale, or see project partners for who is behind the work.

HESAPRO was built around four objectives, agreed by the full consortium at the project's outset:
The project's background research reviewed evidence from all partner countries and consistently found the same pattern: enterprises that treat health and safety as an operational concern, not just a compliance box to tick, see it reflected in output as well as wellbeing.
Take flight in the exhilarating world of Aviator Game. Test your instincts, challenge the odds, and watch as your winnings soar. Get ready for a gaming experience that’s as unpredictable as it is thrilling.
Across partner countries, absence linked to poor working conditions was found to outweigh direct incident-related costs — see the resources page for background reading.
Workload and role clarity showed the strongest links to both wellbeing and output quality in the research reviewed for the project.
Smaller enterprises were far less likely to run any structured self-assessment, which is why HESAPRO's instruments are designed for non-specialist use.
The toolkit was designed with a specific gap in mind: enterprises that know health and safety matters, but lack the budget or in-house expertise to assess it properly.
Run a self-assessment without hiring a consultant, using instruments piloted specifically for smaller organisations.
Use the guides and leaflets as ready-made reference material for staff training and incident reporting procedures.
Draw on the background research and case studies as evidence from five EU labour markets.
The consortium's work is packaged as a toolkit aimed at employers, employees and training providers, made up of six connected outputs:
